MIPIM 2018

The countdown to MIPIM has begun once again. With snow having blasted the UK, the team are looking forward to packing their bags for Cannes in a week’s time.

But, in just a few days’ time, from 8 – 13 March, two Makers will take part in the annual Cycle to MIPIM challenge. They’ll cycle 1,500km (930 miles) from London to Cannes along with 200 other industry professionals, cycling up to 320km (200 miles) a day. Training in the wind, rain, ice and snow, Simon Robins and Florian Frotscher hope for better fortune on their gruelling trip through to the south of France.

#

The main purpose of the challenge, organised by Club Peloton and sponsored by Legal & General, is to raise money for an incredibly important cause. Florian and Simon have pledged to raise £6,000 for Coram who, at 350 years old, is one of the UK’s oldest children’s charities. They’ve nearly reached their target so please help them in their final push before they depart. Donate to Simon here or Florian here.

If you’d like to follow their progress they’ll be tweeting throughout the challenge: @SimonJRobins and @FlFrotscher.

Keep an eye out for them at MIPIM alongside some of our other Makers who took a more leisurely route to Cannes: Ken Shuttleworth, Frank Filskow, Stuart Blower and John Prevc.
