Brookfield Place Sydney achieves practical completion

Brookfield Place Sydney has officially reached practical completion. Our first mixed use project in Australia and the building that launched our Asia Pacific studio, Brookfield Place Sydney has completely reimagined the home of Wynyard station with a new station concourse and retail, and a 27-storey tower.

Mixing heritage and new build architecture, the project has included the sensitive restoration of Shell House and 285 George Street which have been incorporated into the fabric of the scheme, blending old and new in a stunning example of how adaptive reuse can create vibrant precincts.

The PCA premium grade tower will provide a distinctive home for anchor office tenants NAB, Allianz Australia and Brookfield Asset Management – Asia Pacific, alongside Hub Australia and Moelis Australia who are now fitting out and moving in.

Simon Lincoln, Make’s Asia Pacific Director, said: “Reaching this milestone for Brookfield Properties is an incredible achievement for the Make team and our wider design team partners including Multiplex and Architectus. We’re so thrilled to see our original design come to life and to see people using the new pedestrian link from George Street to Carrington Street. For us, this project was about reimagining how this precinct could work as a whole, mixing in new uses and new connections all within the original footprint of Sydney’s historic streets. We can’t wait to see people using it.”
