Liliia Kuksina

Architecture, 伦敦

Liliia is a Part 2 architectural assistant currently contributing to the refurbishment of a commercial workplace development in the West End.

She holds a Bachelor’s of Architecture from the University for the Creative Arts (2021), an MArch from the University of Edinburgh (2024), and an MArch Design Practice on Circular Economy at the Royal College of Art (2025).

Liliia’s practice focuses on integrating adaptive design into existing urban and architectural contexts, with a commitment to creating inclusive and responsive spaces that address socio-economic inequality. She is particularly interested in material reuse and bricolage, exploring the tactile and circular potential of materials to create distinctive spatial experiences.

Her design work has received several accolades. In 2024, Liliia received the Architectural Technology Prize of the Year for a heat recovery system that redirected waste heat from pizza ovens to supply hot water to the flats above a Neapolitan pizzeria. In 2025, her project ‘Reshaping the Natural’ — which proposes organic bricks made from locally sourced seaweed to address coastal accumulation on the Thanet coast — was exhibited at Milan Design Week.

Outside the studio, Liliia enjoys wild cold swimming.
