Alistair Wood
Architecture, SydneyAlistair joined Make in 2015, and in 2018 relocated from London to our Sydney studio. His portfolio spans the retail, education and residential sectors, including multiple new high-end retail schemes in both London and Australia.
Over the years, Alistair has developed a particularly strong relationship with luxury department store Harrods, for whom he has worked on multiple projects – most recently, the refurbishment of the Grade II*-listed building’s facades and a new head office in Hammersmith, London.
Alistair moved to Australia to lead the retail portion of the Chatswood Chase redevelopment in Sydney. He has a unique understanding of the coordination involved in retail developments in Europe and Australia.
In 2015, Alistair won an RIBA President’s Silver Medal: Commendation for his final-year master’s project, which explored ways to revitalise a small Norwegian fishing village by reconnecting the community to its industrial and cultural heritage.
